Overview
Technology underpins our entire business; Our Technology, Data, and Innovation (TDI) strategy is focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, as well as modernizing the Bank's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. We continue to invest and build a team of visionary tech talent, providing you with the training, freedom, and opportunity to do pioneering work. As an [Engineer] you will develop and deliver significant components of engineering solutions to satisfy complex and diverse business goals. You will engage and partner with the Business whilst working within a broader creative, collaborative, and innovative team, with a strong desire to make an impact. You will be joining the L1 Controls and Surveillance team within Regulatory & Cross Product IT delivering Front-Office controls, Trader, and Counterparty surveillance across all business sections of Deutsche Bank; Additionally, you'll help to build our controls and surveillance systems, working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Lead the collection of business requirements and contribute materially to the development of functional design and participate in the project delivery from requirements to production deployment
• Develop source code for front to back software components (e.g., Java, Oracle, extract, transform, load (ETL))
• Designs and implements automated testing scripts
• Integrates software components following the integration strategy. Verifies integrated software components by unit and integrated software testing
• Supports release deployments into controlled environments
• Capture Build and Deployment notes, develop automated deployment scripts, as needed Skills You'll Need
• Extensive technical and Java experience (Java 8 and above)
• Familiarity with ETL tools, BI and analytic tools
• Experience in Scala, Angular/React.js for User Interface (UI) development
• Knowledge of Python, Spark, Hadoop, Big data, and science for anomaly detection using machine learning and statistical risk models
• Extensive experience with databases (including Oracle or Structured Query Language (SQL)), data Structures, design patterns and framework Skills That Will Help You Excel
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Perl or Python scripting experience
• Agile process experience
• Test Driven Development experience
• Experience in testing database solutions and B2B tools Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $95,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
